Gilllian Macdonald is a historian who specializes in early modern Scottish studies. Her research sits at the intersection of borders and politics in the late seventeenth century.

She is the current Interim Director of the Lab for the Education and Advancement in Digital Research (LEADR) at Michigan State University.
